FOIA Request Re: CRS and TVA OIG
January 18, 2011
Subject: Correspondences with CRS and TVA OIG and internal documents about the Green Power Switch Program
Dear Ms. Smith;
Please help me close the gaps between what the TVA OIG has released publically and correspondences between the TVA OIG and the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS).
As the certifying agent of TVA’s Green Power Switch program, the TVA OIG reported the following on their website:
“We completed agreed-upon procedures to assist the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) in determining TVA’s compliance with the annual reporting requirements of CRS’ Green Pricing Accreditation Program for the year ended December 31, 2008. The required information on TVA’s renewable energy initiative, “Green Power Switch,” was provided to CRS, including five identified exceptions and explanations. June 01, 2009 – 2008 Green Power Accreditation – 2009-12590”
• Please provide the five identified exceptions and the “agreed-upon procedures” with related correspondences with the CRS. Also please include OIG’s full report of June 1, 2009 – 2008 in addition to any full reports not available on the TVA OIG website regarding TVA’s Green Power Switch.
I have been told by the CRS accrediting agency, the agency which provides the Green-E certification for TVA, that they would be glad to release any correspondences they have had with the TVA OIG’s office if agreeable with the TVA OIG.
• This is a FOIA request for all data, correspondence, surveys internally as well as any external communications with the CRS regarding the TVA Green Power Switch program.
• A release from the TVA OIG to allow the CRS to provide any and all documentation on the Green Power Switch Program between the CRS and the TVA OIG including the latest CRS certifying date.
If any of the above items or statements need further clarification, please advise me.
