I decided to start this web site with one main objective in mind - to have a conversation with as many who would choose to enter in.  The rules are simple - be civil, concise as you can be and be prepared to defend your positions.  Aliases will be permitted only for good reason and at my discretion; most of the discourse will be from and with individuals with real names.

There is no burning agenda or agendas.  The site will be as eclectic as good taste permits.  No off-color material and suitable for my granddaughter to read without blushing.  If I offend you, I apologize in advance because no personal umbrage is intended.  However, I cannot guarantee the veracity or content of other writings.

I will call on my many years in government and private enterprise to make some of my points from those experiences.  As a husband, father, grandfather and now "elder statesman" (without pretensions) I probably will write much of what I have learned from my four-year old granddaughter.

A brief bio will be here (as soon as I can find my birth certificate)

Since this is a "666" day and subject to much misinterpretation I thought I'd get my two-cents worth in:

"For a taste of heaven on earth, go to Helen, Georgia"  (A slogan I once suggested that might be helpful to the Helen Chamber of Commerce.)
